Calling You Home – a Pep Talk for the COVID-19 Crisis

As I’m sure you’re aware, things with COVID-19 are moving along very rapidly.

There is a lot of uncertainty and a lot of unanswered questions.

First and foremost, take care of yourself, and your loved ones.

And please also consider the people in our community that may be at high risk due to age, pre-existing medical conditions, and immune compromise.

Should you stay home? Should you get tested?

I just posted a video on my FaceBook Page sharing a link to a COVID-19 self-assessment where you can answer those questions.

What can we be doing? (Aka the Bigger Picture Pep Talk):

A long-time patient just came in to pick up a tincture refill. After we raised our elbows from across the room she said, “I think the most important thing we need to be doing is sitting in nature, meditating and sending love and healing to the planet.” And while that may seem hokey, there is merit to it.

Studies show group consciousness has the power to change outcomes. The minimum number of people required to ‘jump-start’ a change in consciousness is the square root of 1% of a population.

If we take the population of Vancouver Island (about 870,000) then only 93 people need to be focusing their intentions on love and healing. Let’s make it an easy 100 for a little buffer. Maybe you and I can be part of those 100? This is inspiring me to create a meditation about this. Stay tuned.

This is a pivotal time in human history.

It’s an opportunity to come back home (both literally, and to yourself) and re-prioritize what’s important to you, your family, our community, and the world at large.

Nature. Love. Peace. Authenticity. Putting the gadgets down. Connection.

I’m going to do my best to look at life right now through the lens of love, and not fear. And make no mistake, I’m going to be reminding myself several times per day. I’m going to be actively changing my thoughts as often as I need to.

No thought or feeling is final. No situation lasts forever. We’ll get through this.

Much love to you and yours, and as mentioned we’re happy to support you via telemedicine.

PS: TONIC NATUROPATHIC CLINIC:

Clinic Closures and Remedy Pick ups:

Please stay home if you’re experiencing any type of infection-related symptoms, or have been traveling with in the last two weeks, or have been in close contact with anyone who has either of those two things.

As it stands now, we’ve decided to remain open at least until the end of our normal clinic workday, Thursday, March 19 at 5:00 pm. Since we have no idea what next week will look like, we’re staying available for anyone who needs to come in to pick up any remedies or refills, or keep their appointments.

TeleHealth Consults:

Thankfully, technology allows us to meet virtually, either via video or phone and these will remain as options even if the clinic is closed. Fullscript will fill the gaps for any remedies needed if the clinic closes.

I’ve added phone consults to the online booking which you can find here.
